EMSL Analytical, Inc. in Cinnaminson, NJ is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I to support laboratory managers and analysts.

You will oversee shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of environmental samples, ensuring chain of custody is accurate in the LIMS system. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong data entry and customer service skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Experience in administration, data entry, and customer service.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clientele.
• Able to work in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sit and stand for various lengths of time.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance.

Responsibilities

• Receive environmental samples from in person customers and shipping carriers.
• Open packages; handle, count, sort environmental samples to ensure sample integrity is retained.
• Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system for all lab divisions.
• Transfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locations.
• Generate invoices and reports for clients as needed.
• Assist with customer or client questions via in person, phone, and e-mail.
• Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager.
