University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an entry professional for the Obstetrics & Gynecology lab, focusing on research services and laboratory sciences. The role involves handling human samples, immunoassays, data entry, and participant recruitment under approved protocols.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, processing samples, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
• Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
• Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field.
• Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet laboratory.
• Previous experience with laboratory techniques including immunoassays.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in an experimental lab, including handling of human biological specimens.
• Preparation of lab reagents.
• Processing of patient samples for analysis and/or storage.
• Conduct immunoassays, colorimetric and basic lab assays.
• Data collection and analysis.
• Screen, recruit and consent research subjects per approved protocols.
• Manage participant tracking and follow-up visits.
• Assistance with laboratory upkeep & maintenance including ordering.
• Maintain study specific certifications, human subject protection training, computer training and other hospital required training.
• Assisting with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Contribute to project development and manuscript preparation.
• Perform other research-related duties as assigned.
