Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora seeks a Research Services Professional - Entry Level for the Obstetrics & Gynecology division. The role focuses on physiological, cellular, and molecular studies of gonadotropin synthesis and action, with emphasis on gonadal and extragonadal regulation.

This is a part-time (.50 FTE) position; you will maintain mouse lines, perform PCR genotyping, assist the PI, manage mouse data, and support lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of education and related experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferred master's degree in biology or related field.
• Experience in laboratory settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of transgenic and knockout mouse lines.
• DNA isolation and genotyping by PCR.
• Weighing mice weekly.
• Assist the PI with projects on mouse reproductive axis development and physiology.
• Mouse database creation and maintenance.
• Handling procurement for lab supplies and services.
• Training new employees, students and volunteers.
• Comply with university policy on lab operations.
