Qualifications

• Requires high school level education or GED.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Allied Health or related field.
• Phlebotomy certificate and ASCP registration preferred.
• Customer service oriented with strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Register specimens and enter orders accurately.
• Distribute lab results to physicians and transmit faxes as needed.
• Prepare specimens for reference labs and manage labeling.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately.
• Maintain organization and prioritize tasks to ensure fast response times.
• Perform order entry for outreach specimens and verify testing indicated.
• Complete mandatory training and maintain competency.
• Uphold safety policies and PPE usage.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in quality initiatives.
• Ensure patient care considerations across age groups are met.
