United WestLabs is seeking a detail-oriented Specimen Processor to join our laboratory operations team. The role focuses on accurate receipt, verification, processing, and routing of patient specimens for testing, while upholding quality, safety, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Process specimen requisitions accurately and enter patient and test order data into laboratory systems
• Verify specimens against physician orders and ensure proper labeling and matching to testing requirements
• Prioritize STAT and time-sensitive specimens to support turnaround times
• Print, organize, and distribute patient charts and documentation
• Provide courteous, professional service to internal and external customers and respond to inquiries
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and handle specimens and biohazardous materials per policies and PPE
• Adhere to quality assurance, safety, and confidentiality requirements
