Job summary

Hologic, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Optimization Specialist (LOS) to deliver Lean/Six Sigma based consulting for customer laboratories and to support sales with workflow analyses. This role requires 50% to 75% travel and a valid driver’s license.

You will evaluate labs, customize Lean/Six Sigma solutions, and collaborate with sales, service, and customer stakeholders to improve efficiency, safety, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in medical healthcare technology, science or engineering.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• 2 years in diagnostic, manufacturing or customer service/technical role.
• 1 year using Lean/Six Sigma tools in healthcare or lab settings.
• 1–3 years laboratory/clinical experience with safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales/Applications with lean evaluations for key accounts.
• Support peers in assessing labs and workflows; recommend improvements.
• Evaluate workflow from accessioning to cytology to optimize assays.
• Develop solutions with sales team focusing on Lean/Six Sigma.
• Perform data identification, collection, mining and analysis.
• Collaborate with sales/service to drive growth and value.
• Contribute to presentations to influence outcomes at all levels.
• Identify new tools to refine Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
