Job summary

Hologic, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Optimization Specialist (LOS) to strengthen customer relationships through Lean/Six Sigma based consulting on Hologic products and solutions. 50% to 75% travel is required, with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use.

The role supportsSales and Applications, analyzes labs, and delivers recommendations to improve efficiency, safety and throughput in clinical and pathology settings.

Qualifications

• Must have Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to learn new concepts and build on training.
• Advanced verbal and written communication to influence decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills across organization levels.
• Knowledge of lab instrumentation, informatics and automation.
• Proficiency with OS, iOS, Windows, Adobe, Salesforce.com and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales and Applications with lean evaluations for key accounts focusing on Hologic instrumentation.
• Evaluate customer labs, recommend near- and longer-term improvements for efficiency, safety and effectiveness.
• Analyze workflow from accessioning to molecular and cytology across laboratories.
• Develop knowledge of customer needs and tailor Lean/Six Sigma solutions with the sales team.
• Perform data identification, collection, mining and analysis.
• Collaborate with sales and service to drive sales growth and communicate value.
• Support presentations to influence outcomes at all customer levels.
• Identify new tools to improve Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
