Demeetra Agbio Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking a Laboratory Technician to keep the lab running efficiently and support scientific staff.

You will handle routine duties, ordering, shipping, and upkeep, with potential progression to General Laboratory Coordinator. The successful candidate will have a Biology degree and hands-on molecular biology experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Biology or related field.
• Hands-on molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction.
• Experience with PCR and gel electrophoresis.
• General lab duties such as preparing media and buffers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; standing/walking.
• Experience with mammalian tissue culture is a plus.
• 1-2 years of lab experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Formulate and prepare stock and media solutions routinely.
• Maintain inventories and manage ordering of chemical reagents and supplies.
• Support tissue culture and molecular biology experiments alongside scientists.
• Perform functions to improve overall lab efficiency.
• Sterilize laboratory supplies and media.
• Receive/send shipments to/from couriers.
• Keep general work areas clean.
• Routinely generate plasmid stocks for laboratory experiments.
