Qualifications

• Associate degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline is required.
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety, housekeeping and good laboratory practices.
• Ability to prepare laboratory media and handle samples aseptically.
• Ability to follow work instructions and SOPs, and maintain accurate records.
• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, stretching, lifting up to 25 lb, dishwashing, and routine cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic microbiology media and buffers following SOPs.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and organization: laboratory clean-up.
• Organize consumables and glassware per instructions.
• Maintain records of laboratory supplies.
• Ensure timely waste handling in compliance with safety procedures.
• Perform basic instrument checks and calibrations and record data accurately.
