Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking a Lab Support Specialist for the Research & Development team in Somerset, NJ. The role focuses on daily lab operations, sample handling, equipment upkeep, and documentation to ensure an audit-ready environment.

Candidates should have a biology/chemistry related degree, familiarity with LIMS and MS Office, and a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
• Previous Laboratory or Healthcare Experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices.
• Familiarity with LIMS and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, track, and document samples in LIMS.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, software, IT systems, LIMS readiness.
• Manage supplies, reagents, chemicals, ordering, and supply forecasting.
• Support SOP compliance, audit readiness, EHS standards, and waste management.
• Coordinate with Biosample Management, warehouse teams, scientists, and lab staff.
• Support sample receipt, labeling, logging, processing, testing setup, chain of custody/identity, and LIMS documentation.
