Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Supervisor – Lab Technical to oversee the daily operations of the laboratory section and supervise Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and other staff. The role requires strong leadership, organization, and decision-making.

You'll ensure compliance with CLIA requirements and collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to maintain high-quality laboratory services at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a science related field (Microbiology, Medical Technology or equivalent).
• Certification of Medical Technologist, MLS(ASCP)CM -OR- categorical certification in Microbiology by AAM or ASCP.
• Three (3) years experience in relevant area of clinical laboratory.
• Specialized certification preferred.
• Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity and smooth daily operation of the assigned Laboratory section.
• Provide direct supervision to personnel assigned to the section.
• Lead administrative and technical management of section operations.
