Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Covington, KY, seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the laboratory section under the direction of the Administrative/Site Director and Medical Director.

You will manage staff scheduling, training, competency testing, quality assurance, and compliance with JC, CLIA and CAP standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential to provide safe, accurate patient care.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• ASCP Certification or HEW/HHS equivalent.
• 4 years of experience in a specialized laboratory department.
• 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of the laboratory section.
• Staff scheduling and timecard review/approval.
• Training, education and competency testing of staff.
• Assist in policy, procedure and process improvement development.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
