Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking an experienced supervisor for the evening shift. You will oversee daily operations, manage workflow, and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance within the phlebotomy/testing section.

Responsibilities include staff training, coordinating with clinicians, and contributing to financial monitoring and cost-reduction initiatives. Prior leadership experience and knowledge of LIS/HIS systems are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 18+ years.
• 1 year of experience in SQL/LSA clinical laboratory environment, or 2 years in leadership/training/related experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational oversight for the shift; manage day-to-day workflow.
• Ensure quality control procedures and compliance with accrediting agencies.
• Monitor section finances, supply usage, and expenses; support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Participate in staff training and performance assessments; conduct orientations.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other staff; support department committees.
