The ideal candidate will have a science degree, 5+ years of management experience, and hands-on knowledge of lab equipment and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and 5+ years of lab management experience.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience with lab equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, including scheduling, staffing and resource allocation.
• Manage lab staff, payroll, scheduling, training, and customer service.
• Ensure instruments are maintained and calibrated properly.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets and monitor expenses within budget constraints.
• Maintain lab data accuracy and security; run daily/monthly checks.
• Develop safety protocols and train staff on safety procedures.
• Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to align operations with goals.
• Create and maintain laboratory reports and performance metrics.
• Provide training and development opportunities for the team.
