Job summary

Colonial Group seeks an experienced Laboratory Operations Leader to oversee three free-standing emergency departments (Miamisburg, Beavercreek, and Jamestown) in Ohio. This full-time, evening/night shift role supervises hospital-based lab staff, ensures quality, and maintains regulatory readiness across locations.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and adherence to safety and policy standards, with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Requires Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Science with ASCP registration preferred.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong judgment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Oversee operations/workflow of the laboratory at a hospital-based location for both technical and non-technical staff.
Provide direction and supervision to staff, ensuring assignments and responsibilities are clear.
Assist with staff scheduling, bench assignments, and rotation of duties to maintain competency, including weekend coverage.
Support quality assurance activities, CAP inspection readiness, and safety programs.
Assist with staff development, evaluation, and corrective actions as needed.
Ensure completion of required documentation and regulatory compliance.
