Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Austin, TX is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to oversee the Pharmacokinetics Lab daily operations. You will direct workflow, assign tasks to Research Laboratory Technicians, ensure proper sample processing and freezing, and maintain thorough documentation in line with safety regulations.

You will supervise blood and urine processing, coordinate with study teams, and monitor equipment and processes for continuous improvement in a clinical lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technicians in the blood and urine areas, assuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Ensure safety requirements are adhered to when handling and processing samples.
• Perform all duties of a blood harvester, urine monitor, and urine processor as needed.
• Audit Blood Harvest Logs to assure proper handling per protocol.
• Interact with Study Teams and other staff to ensure protocol requirements are followed.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance checks and monitor lab processes for improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
