Job summary

Pinnacle Clinical Research in Austin, TX is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Phlebotomist) to run daily lab operations, collect blood and other specimens, and ensure proper processing and shipping according to study protocols. You will maintain documentation, manage supplies, and collaborate with the PCR team to support clinical trials while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified in phlebotomy preferred with at least 1 year of experience.
• Must be able to follow study protocols and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests, collect subject specimens, and process samples according to the study lab manual.
• Daily phlebotomy and specimen processing with universal precautions.
• Use appropriate needles and techniques to obtain quality specimens with minimal discomfort.
• Store, track, and ship samples to central/local labs per study procedures.
• Maintain lab inventory and ensure no expired kits; document temperature logs.
• Upload requisitions into CRIO and route to CRC or Research Assistant daily.
• Maintain equipment records and daily work logs; ensure compliance with SOPs.
