Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital seeks a Lab Technical Coordinator to lead laboratory operations at the Geneva campus. This full-time role involves coordinating section staffing, SOP creation, and ensuring regulatory compliance while collaborating with physicians and pathologists to implement lab technology and testing.

Responsibilities include QA/QC oversight, LIS coordination, inventory management, and staff training to maintain high-quality service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical lab science or medical technology.
• ASCP certification within 1 year of hire.
• Preferred 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate section staffing and scheduling to cover all duties.
• Develop SOPs and maintain documentation control.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in LIS planning, maintenance and upgrades.
• Oversee inventory and supply requests within budget constraints.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Lead staff training and competency assessments.
