Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a qualifying field.
• Licensure or certification per regulatory agency.
• ASCP certification or eligible exam if applicable.
• If hired after 1/19/2025 must be ASCP certified within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic workflow to ensure correct orders and specimen handling.
• Verifies orders and non-patient information per protocol.
• Troubleshoots and resolves order issues with LIS entries.
• Performs and documents test procedures following SOPs and quality control procedures.
• Maintains instrument readiness, performs preventive maintenance and ensures adequate reagents.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Allied Health
