BayCare Health System in New Port Richey, FL seeks a full-time Phlebotomist to collect and process specimens for testing in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires 6 months of phlebotomy or related lab experience, a high school diploma or equivalent (BA/BS may substitute), and a valid driver’s license. You will work with nurses, physicians, and staff to ensure accurate specimen handling and timely reporting.

• 6 months phlebotomy or laboratory experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Collect and process inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding patient specimens.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories as needed.
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Weekend Work: Every 3rd

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience

• Required
• 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field

Education

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

Credentials

• Driver's License

Credential Equivalent Experience

• Preferred Phlebotomy
