Job summary

BayCare Health System Outreach Lab Client Services-AMB in Largo, FL is hiring a phlebotomist to support specimen collection and processing for inpatient and outpatient testing. The role collaborates with nursing, physicians, and staff to ensure accurate referrals and timely results.

Qualifications include at least 6 months in phlebotomy or related lab field, a high school diploma or equivalent (or a related bachelor’s degree), and a valid driver’s license.

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelor related field in lieu of experience

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Status: Full Time

• Shift Hours: 8:00AM - 4:30PM
• Weekend Work: Occasional
