The role involves collecting, receiving and processing specimens for testing, coordinating with nursing, and phlebotomy duties to support patient care. Requires minimum 6 months phlebotomy or lab-related experience; Education: High School or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in a related field; valid Driver's License; schedule is full-time, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend

Responsibilities:

The Lab Medical Assistant II is responsible for:

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field

Education:

• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

Credentials:

• Driver's License

Credential equivalent experience:

• Preferred Phlebotomy
