Job summary

BayCare Health System is hiring a full-time phlebotomist at the Bloomingdale Main facility. You will collect, process and manage patient specimens for testing, coordinating with nursing staff and physicians to ensure accurate referrals.

The role requires at least 6 months of phlebotomy or related lab experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent (or a related Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience). A driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 6 months phlebotomy or laboratory-related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; or a Bachelor's in a related field in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, receive and process inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
• Communicate with nursing regarding patient specimens.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories when needed.
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Experience

• Required
