Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida seeks a dedicated phlebotomist for the St. Joseph North Hospital - Outreach Lab in Lutz. The role supports inpatient and outpatient specimen collection, with coordination among nursing, physicians and external laboratories.

Requires 6 months of phlebotomy or related experience and a High School diploma. A driver's license is requested and the position offers a full-time schedule, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth within BayCare's integrated

Qualifications

• Required 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field.
• Required High School or equivalent.
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens.
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories.
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Days: Monday - Friday
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• On Call: No
