Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Part-time Lab Medical Assistant II for inpatient and outpatient specimen collection and processing. You will work with nursing and physicians, perform phlebotomy, and refer tests to outside labs.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
