Job summary

BayCare Health System in Largo, FL is seeking a Home Draw Phlebotomist to perform in-home blood collection using your vehicle. Shift hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, with no on-call requirement.

Responsibilities include collecting and processing specimens, communicating with nursing staff, and coordinating with physicians and outside laboratories. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, plus completion of a Level 2 background screening.

Qualifications

• Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field
• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
