Job summary

Solutions³ LLC is seeking a Lab Manager III to support onsite incident response for civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners. The role involves investigations to characterize breach severity, developing mitigation plans, and assisting with service restoration.

Responsibilities include SOP development, VPN/VDI and MacOS/iOS support, and storage/network issue resolution in a lab environment. Must be a US citizen with active clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/IS or related field, or HS diploma with 7+ years experience.
• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration.
• Must be a US citizen with active clearance; DHS suitability may be required.
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced analytical skills and technical resources at tactical levels to support mission requirements.
• Support implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
• Assess network topology and device configurations to identify security concerns and provide best practice recommendations.
• Advise on lab SOPs and policies to improve operations and security.
• Provide VPN or VDI support (Citrix) to users.
• Support MacOS and iOS users and troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor helpdesk channels and assist with account management and credential resets.
• Assist in granular access control, backups, and system security monitoring.
• Troubleshoot storage and network issues across local and wide-area networks.

Solutions³ LLC is supporting our prime contractor and their U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution.

Solutions³ LLC is seeking a Lab Manager III to support this critical mission by performing investigations to characterize the severity of breaches, developing mitigation plans, and assisting with the restoration of services.

Eligibility

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have an active Secret clearance, TS/SCI is preferred
• Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability prior to starting employment
• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration

Responsibilities Include

• Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements
• Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment
• Assesses network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations
• Advises and provides insight on development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
• Provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Citrix) to users
• Provide support for MacOS and iOS to users
• Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues
• Monitor and respond to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines
• Assist in the management of user accounts and resetting credentials
• Performing implementation of granular access control, and monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks
• Monitor channels for storage-related network and system issues and remediate them as they occur

Required Skills

• Experience with multiple operating systems, to include Linux/Unix & MacOS
• Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
• Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
• Experience with virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare)
• Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations

Desired Skills

• Experience working with SIEMs to include ELK and Splunk
• Virtualization automation and optimization
• Experience working with Jamf Pro, DEP, and Enterprise Connect implementation
• Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures

Desired Certifications

CEH, Sec+, Network+, CCNA

Required Education

BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience
