Job summary

Verista is seeking a hands-on Laboratory IT Support SME to maintain IT for lab PCs and instrument-connected systems, bridging scientists and IT across R&D labs. The role focuses on CSV activities, IQ/OQ support, and cross-domain troubleshooting.

You will collaborate with scientists, vendors, and enterprise IT to ensure reliable, compliant lab operations. Onsite work at Cambridge and Norton is required with occasional off-hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Experience supporting lab environments, preferably pharma/biotech/manufacturing.
• Hands-on with instrument-connected PCs; strong IT troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking.
• Experience in a GxP environment with validation concepts.
• Comfort with Veeva and change control; maintain validation docs.
• Windows admin and AD, plus basic networking.
• Willing to work onsite at Cambridge and Norton weekly; some off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for lab PCs and instrument-connected systems.
• Install, upgrade, configure scientific software including chromatography tools.
• Support onboarding of new lab instruments; coordinate with vendors.
• Serve as IT contact for lab users; manage Windows, AD, networking, back up.
• Participate in computer system validation activities; ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with instrument vendors on IQ/OQ validation; support IT IQ/OQ.
• Work within Veeva and change control processes; keep docs audit-ready.
• Provide occasional off-hours support (rare).
