Job summary
DCS Corp is seeking a qualified IT professional to support DoD lab systems in Ridgecrest, CA. The role focuses on Windows maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting networked and standalone workstations for sensitive defense programs.
The candidate will install, repair, patch, and back up lab systems, while providing direct and remote user support, and assisting with Lab IT projects and security compliance. A security clearance will be pursued as required.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- COMSEC briefing/certification required.
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7/10/11) and Windows Server OS.
- Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work various shifts (morning/evening/overnight).
Responsibilities
- Install and repair DoD computing equipment and workstations.
- Maintain and administer closed-loop lab networks for patching and hardening.
- Manage VMs running file servers and services.
- Provide frontline and remote user support for desktops and apps.
- Perform routine backups across platforms.
- Support Lab network communications and software development efforts.
- Develop IT process improvements for lab systems.
