Job summary

RPMGlobal is seeking a skilled IT Specialist to maintain and support DoD computing equipment and lab networks. The role focuses on Windows 10/11 maintenance, server work, and secure lab operations, with required U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, backups, remote support, and assisting Lab users of F/A-18E/F & EA-18G platforms, while developing and improving IT processes within the defense research environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• COMSEC briefing and certification required.
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7/10/11) and Windows Server versions.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs and work varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair DoD computing equipment and workstations (networked or standalone).
• Maintain and administer patched and hardened lab networks.
• Manage virtual machines running file servers and services.
• Provide direct and remote user support for network/desktop hardware and software issues.
• Perform regular backups and ensure system integrity across platforms.
• Support Lab IT projects and deployment initiatives.
• Assist Lab users (F/A-18E/F & EA-18G) with IT problems and solutions.
• Develop and maintain lab networks, software, and database applications.
