Job summary

Saalex Corp. is seeking a Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator in Ridgecrest, CA to support the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and security of enterprise network and computing environments.

The selected candidate will provide expertise in routing, switching, network security, wireless technologies, systems administration, cybersecurity compliance, and modernization efforts supporting mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and systems administration.
• Experience with WAN, BAN, and LAN environments.
• Configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with system hardening, STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, patching, and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network and computer systems.
• Support WAN, BAN, LAN, and wireless infrastructure.
• Administer routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices.
• Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and implement security controls.
• Perform system hardening, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, patching, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration baselines.
• Support cybersecurity compliance requirements and coordinate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and customers.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
