Job summary

Labcorp in Spokane, WA is seeking a Lab Intern to gain hands-on exposure in diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and lab operations during an 11-week, paid internship.

The program runs June 1 to August 13, 2027, Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:30pm (first shift). Enrolled students in Chemical/ Biological/ Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology programs are encouraged to apply and will shadow professionals, perform mock testing, and contribute to safe, compliant lab work.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program
• Interest in laboratory science and diagnostics industry
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and concepts
• Ability to work independently under supervision and maintain professionalism
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures
