Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The 11-week paid internship runs Monday through Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week, offering hands-on exposure to diagnostic workflows under supervision.

Interns shadow lab professionals, assist with non-testing tasks, and participate in mock testing and basic techniques while learning safety and SOPs. Eligible candidates are currently enrolled in relevant bachelor’s degree programs and eager to learn in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Interest in laboratory science
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures

Education

Bachelor’s degree program in Chemical/Biological/Clinical Lab Science or Medical Technology
