Job summary

Metrohm USA, the North American division of Metrohm AG, is seeking a Field Service Specialist to deliver on-site service and remote support for benchtop analytical systems across Illinois, Indiana, and western Michigan.

Based in the Chicago area, you will travel frequently to install, calibrate, repair, and train customers.You bring a BS/BA in Chemistry and 2–4 years of hands-on instrumentation repair, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and willingness to travel; the role offers

Qualifications

BS/BA in Chemistry or closely related science field.
2–4 years hands-on experience repairing laboratory instrumentation.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Strong time management and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel extensively within territory and occasionally outside it.
Familiarity with process-based applications and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, certifications, preventive maintenance, and refresher training for benchtop analytical systems.
Provide on-site and remote support (phone, email, Teams) to customers.
Manage a dynamic territory schedule and build strong customer relationships.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
