Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing in Littleton, MA, seeks a General Manager to lead laboratory operations, ensure profitability, and align with corporate policies. The role requires coordinating with on-site teams, external audits, and maintaining accreditation while driving customer relationships and sales initiatives.

The GM will manage budgets, mentor staff, and travel up to 15% for business purposes. A bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of leadership in a lab is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of Leadership experience in a Laboratory setting, preferably TIC.
• Proven ability to build consensus, manage diverse engineering teams, and drive accountability.
• Familiarity with FCC, EU, CB-Scheme, OSHA, SCC, and other regulatory standards, schemes and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer relations skills.
• Ability to manage a business at a profit/loss responsibility level.
• Ability to control operating budgets.
• Ability to develop and enforce policies and operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Manages the laboratory and facility operations to provide positive operating margin and meet annual budgetary goals.
• Cultivates lab culture and employee engagement; partners with HR to enforce policies.
• Directly manage the lab, provide technical support, and assist with testing as needed.
• Builds and maintains positive customer relationships and sales growth.
• Attend key business meetings, conferences, and trade shows to maintain expertise.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and liaise with accreditation bodies; lead audits.
• Prioritize operations to meet goals and customer service needs.
• Collaborate to ensure accurate P&L, timely data to clients, and on-time delivery.
• Lead sales strategies to meet budgets; travel for business as required.
• Communicate goals to staff and implement company initiatives for teamwork.
• Mentor key employees and maintain staffing levels to meet needs.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure appropriate resources for operations.
• Share best practices across Eurofins labs and support other sites.
