Job summary

Eurofins Donor & Product Testing in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance for donor testing programs. The role drives continuous improvement, ensures quality and timely testing, and manages budgets and inventory.

The candidate will lead a team of scientists, coordinate workflows, and maintain strict adherence to SOPs, safety, and GMP-like standards within a large diagnostic laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years’ experience in laboratory settings and knowledge of lab methods and equipment.
• Ability to organize, communicate, and manage others.
• Familiarity with federal, state and local standards for clinical laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operation of the laboratory to insure smooth flow of samples and testing.
• Hires, coaches, reviews, manages, and terminates assigned staff.
• Oversees the scheduling of laboratory staff to insure production schedules are met.
• Consuls laboratory staff regarding problems encountered in daily operations.
• Oversees data checking and transfer and corrects inaccuracies prior to processing or release.
• Oversees orientation of new laboratory staff and training.
