Job summary

Tetra Tech in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Lab Technician Intern to support our Remediation, Solid Waste, and Environmental Soils Lab team. Under direct supervision, you will perform geotechnical laboratory and field tasks, prepare samples, and assist in analyzing test results for diverse clients.

This internship offers hands-on experience with soil tests such as grain size, Atterberg limits, moisture, and compaction, plus documentation and data management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1–3 years' experience in environmental services or related field.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude for field equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret and present information; strong communication.
• Basic math skills and ability to calculate figures.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: pursuing an associates degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests on soil samples (grain size, Atterberg limits, moisture, compaction).
• Prepare soil samples for testing and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and safety compliance.
• Assist in field sampling and site investigations.
• Collect and compile field data.
• Document technical data for management review.
• Provide other office duties as assigned.
