Verdantas LLC in Temecula, CA seeks a Soil Lab Technician to support geotechnical and environmental projects by ensuring accurate soil sampling, testing, and documentation. The role combines fieldwork with detailed laboratory analysis, requiring precision, safety, and quality adherence.

You will work with project managers to deliver reliable data informing critical engineering decisions. You will maintain equipment, follow SOPs, and contribute to reports while growing hands-on skills in soil

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Coursework in geology, civil engineering, or related field.
0–2 years in construction, geotechnical, or environmental fieldwork.
ACI Concrete Certification.
Familiarity with soil and concrete testing methods.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Collect soil samples from various field sites using appropriate sampling techniques.
Conduct field tests such as soil density, moisture content, and compaction.
Perform laboratory tests, including grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, and soil classification.
Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and precision.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results.
Maintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and SOPs.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and technical reports.
Communicate findings and observations to the Project Manager/Supervisor.
Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
