Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Site Minor Works in Bothell, WA. You will support installation, relocation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, coordinating with contractors and site teams to ensure safe, compliant moves and asset tracking in CMMS.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or technical cert, hands-on installation experience, and strong troubleshooting skills in lab environments; GMP/EHS familiarity preferred. On-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, mechanical systems, or related field.
• Hands-on experience installing, moving, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with rigging and equipment transport procedures.
• Knowledge of calibration standards and validation protocols.
• Understanding of laboratory safety and decontamination procedures.
• Working knowledge of asset management systems and CMMS records.

Responsibilities

• Escort, hand-move, unpack, install, and remove laboratory and facility equipment.
• Assess site preparation requirements and connect utilities for new and relocated instrumentation.
• Coordinate relocation logistics and perform pre-move documentation and decontamination procedures.
• Safely disconnect, transport, and reinstall instrumentation and confirm function after moves.
• Evaluate equipment condition for disposal decisions and execute decontamination/decommissioning.
• Coordinate disposal or surplus through recycling, hazardous waste, and remarketing channels.
• Tag, photograph, document, and gather data for equipment; remove retired instruments from CMMS.
• Track equipment performance metrics and maintain asset records using CMMS.
• Provide input for replacement planning and capital budgeting based on data.
• Diagnose malfunctions and coordinate with external service vendors as needed.
