Job summary

New York University seeks a dedicated Laboratory Facilities Administrator to support the shared space for the Integrated Science Initiative (ISI) labs. This role will oversee research laboratory facilities and operations for the ISI labs shared by multiple departments.

Manage day to day operations in conjunction with the administrative teams in the individual departments; develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field.
• Required Experience: 3+ years experience in research facilities.
• Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and communication skills; ability to communicate with diverse individuals; knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases; Certificate of Fitness (C-14) within 90 days; knowledge of chemicals and chemical compatibility; familiarity with laboratory setting; able to lift 30+ lbs.
