Job summary

Claremont McKenna College is seeking an Integrated Sciences Laboratory Infrastructure and Operations Manager to oversee safe, reliable laboratory infrastructure and instrumentation supporting teaching and research in the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences.

The role collaborates with Facilities, Campus Services, and Public Security to maintain equipment, building systems, and safety compliance. Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; two years of experience with scientific or lab equipment required.
• Must be organized, punctual, and detail oriented; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Google tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of laboratory infrastructure and equipment.
• Oversee infrastructure supporting laboratory teaching and research with Facilities and Campus Services.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and coordinate repairs, including after hours.
• Manage the department stockroom and maintain inventory levels.
• Coordinate equipment setup, breakdown, maintenance, and repair with faculty and staff.
