Job summary

Claremont McKenna College seeks an Integrated Sciences Laboratory Infrastructure and Operations Manager in Claremont, CA to oversee the operation, maintenance, safety, and improvement of lab infrastructure and instrumentation supporting teaching and research in the Robert Day Sciences Center.

You will collaborate with faculty, staff, vendors, and campus services to ensure labs, equipment, and building systems are safe, reliable, and fully operational, with after-hours support and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with scientific, engineering, or industrial equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of lab infrastructure and equipment.
• Oversee building-integrated lab systems in collaboration with Facilities and Campus Services.
• Respond to equipment failures and facility emergencies, including after-hours support.
• Manage department stockroom and inventory with faculty and staff.
• Support the Innovation Studio in acquiring, installing, and maintaining resources.
• Coordinate delivery, installation, storage, and relocation of lab equipment and supplies.
