Job summary

Manhattanville University is seeking a Laboratory Manager for the Natural Science, Math, & Computing programs. The role oversees prep of learning labs, maintains a clean, safe workspace, and assists with supervision of undergraduate lab assistants.

Responsibilities include training student employees across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, scheduling tasks, monitoring safety with the Laboratory Safety Director, ordering supplies, and ensuring equipment and hazardous materials are properly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• At least two years related experience required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student workers in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics programs.
• Provide on-site lab safety training and oversee safe practices.
• Schedule work times, assign tasks, and approve hours.
• Maintain labs, prep rooms, and stock inventories daily.
• Coordinate with Director of Laboratory Safety and arrange equipment maintenance.
