Job summary

The ideal candidate has ASCP/HEW/HHS/AMT certification, 3–5 years of clinical lab experience, a BS in Medical Technology or CLS, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• ASCP, HEW, HHS, or AMT certification in all clinical areas.
• 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and written.
• Strong problem solving, management, prioritization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical and administrative operation of Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis.
• Direct daily operations, including decision-making and corrective actions.
• Monitor supply inventory and participate in operating and capital budgets.
• Develop and retain technical staff and foster good employee relationships.
• Develop shift assignments to ensure proper coverage and efficiency; may require weekend bench work.
• Ensure competency testing is current and provide coaching and training as needed.
• Develop, review, and implement policies and procedures.
