Pay Rate: $32.54/hour (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Lab Computing Analyst to support critical laboratory technology initiatives, with a primary focus on Windows upgrades and asset management. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience supporting Windows 11 environments, troubleshooting hardware and software, managing IT assets, and providing technical support within laboratory or other complex environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support two key initiatives: Windows Upgrade and Asset Management.
  • Perform hands‑on Windows 11 upgrades, computer imaging, system configuration, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across laboratory and computing environments.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment support, repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Replace, upgrade, and maintain computing equipment and related machinery as needed.
  • Provide technical support for advanced laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Track IT assets and maintain accurate equipment and configuration records.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to systems, assets, troubleshooting, and support activities.
  • Work with ticketing and project management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on Windows 11 experience is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows upgrade projects, including:
    • Windows 11 upgrades
    • Computer imaging
    • Machine deployment and configuration
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
  • Experience replacing, upgrading, or maintaining IT equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, technically complex environment.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting laboratory computing environments or advanced laboratory instruments.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, asset tracking, and documentation management.
  • Experience working with specialized or regulated laboratory environments.
Education

High school diploma or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work within a laboratory or controlled environment while following applicable safety procedures and wearing required PPE, such as lab coats and safety glasses.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities and job demands may change quickly.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 25% of the workday.
  • Ability to frequently move between laboratories, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings across the site.
  • Regularly operate instruments, tools, equipment, and controls, requiring bending, squatting, stretching, and reaching.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with potential occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring close-range and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment, including printers and copiers.
  • May be required to handle hazardous waste in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including identifying, handling, accumulating, storing, and labeling hazardous materials.
  • Work may involve exposure to laboratory hazards, including extreme temperatures, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
  • May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing for respirator use when required by the laboratory environment.
