Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC in Rockville, MD is seeking a Calibration Technician to support our Calibration Program by performing pipette calibrations, scheduling vendor calibrations, and maintaining the equipment database within the Quality organization. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and assist in repairs, and help ensure compliance with ISO 8655 and ISO 9001/13485 standards.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in scientific field with a minimum of 1 year of lab experience.
Experience with pipette calibrations per ISO 8655 preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment (plate washers, plate readers, pipettors).
Calibrate pipettes to ensure specifications and review calibration records.
Initiate and review OOS calibration reports per MSD procedures.
Schedule equipment calibrations with lab designees and coordinate with contractors.
Maintain maintenance/calibration records and assist in repairs.
Maintain inventory of maintenance parts and support 5S in labs.
Communicate issues and results affecting data quality and schedules.
