Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Field Service Engineer I/II - Calibration Technician to perform calibrations, qualifications, preventative maintenance, and repairs on pipettes and small laboratory instruments. The role requires travel to customer sites and strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on accurate documentation.

Two- or four-year degree in a related science field is required, with up to 3 years of experience in field service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a related science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronics) with 0–1 years (FSE I) or 1–3 years (FSE II) of related experience.
• Legal work status in the US (no sponsorship needed now or in the near future).
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environments.
• Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication.
• Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration/qualification and preventative maintenance on pipettes and small laboratory instrumentation.
• Travel to customer sites to perform calibrations and PMs as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair various lab equipment in-field and in-lab.
• Maintain personal parts inventory and ensure availability for service calls.
• Provide feedback to management on issues impacting service delivery and turnaround times.
• Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly, adhering to GDP and SOPs.
