Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking a phlebotomist to join their team. You will perform sample processing and venipunctures, ensuring specimens are collected and prepared according to CMS CLIA '88, OSHA, and Piedmont policies.

No experience is required, with 1 year preferred; CPT phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent is preferred. You will support technical staff and help maintain quality and safety in a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Education requirement as stated: H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Work experience: No experience required; 1 year preferred as phlebotomist.
• Licenses/certifications: CPT-phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
