Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy technician to perform sample processing, venipunctures, and assist the technical staff in non-clinical tasks. Your work will comply with CMS CLIA regulations and Piedmont policies.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, with 1 year phlebotomy experience and preferred EKG experience. Certification in phlebotomy is preferred and healthcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as phlebotomist preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
