Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital invites applications for a phlebotomy role. The successful candidate will perform sample processing, venipunctures, and specimen preparation in line with CMS CLIA and Piedmont policies.

No experience is required, though 1 year of phlebotomy and experience with EKGs are preferred, as is healthcare or clinical laboratory exposure.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens per Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Work Experience
